Licensed NFA Dealer

NFA Item Transfers

Suppressors, short-barreled rifles, short-barreled shotguns, and other NFA-regulated items — Gordon Trading Post handles the paperwork, the wait, and the compliance so you don't have to.

What Is an NFA Transfer?

The National Firearms Act (NFA) regulates certain classes of firearms and accessories including suppressors, short-barreled rifles (SBRs), short-barreled shotguns (SBSs), machine guns, destructive devices, and any other weapons (AOW). Transferring these items requires ATF approval and a $200 tax stamp (or $5 for AOW).

Gordon Trading Post is a licensed NFA dealer. We act as your SOT/Class III dealer, receive the item, submit your Form 4 or Form 1, and hold the item safely until your tax stamp is approved and you're cleared to take possession.

How It Works

01

Choose Your NFA Item

Purchase or locate the NFA item you want. Let the seller know you have a local SOT/Class III dealer for the transfer.

02

Send Our FFL/SOT Info

Contact us and we'll provide our FFL and SOT license copies to your seller so they can ship to our store.

03

We Receive & Secure the Item

We accept the shipment, inspect it, log it into our bound book, and store it securely until your transfer is approved.

04

Submit Your ATF Form 4

Come in to complete ATF Form 4 (or Form 1 for a build). We assist with fingerprints, passport photos, and the trust or individual application.

05

Wait for Approval

ATF processing times vary. We'll notify you the moment your tax stamp is approved and the item is ready for pickup.

06

Take Possession

Bring your approved tax stamp and ID. Pay the transfer fee and take home your NFA item — legally and safely.

Transfer Fees

ATF tax stamp fees ($200 for most NFA items, $5 for AOW) are paid directly to the ATF and are not included in our transfer fee.
