Licensed FFL Dealer

FFL Transfer Services

Safe, legal, and hassle-free firearm transfers. Gordon Trading Post is a federally licensed FFL dealer — we handle all the paperwork so you don't have to.

What Is an FFL Transfer?

When you purchase a firearm online or from an out-of-state dealer, federal law requires the gun to be shipped to a local Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL) dealer before it can be transferred to you.

Gordon Trading Post acts as your receiving FFL. We accept the shipment, verify the transfer, conduct the required background check, and release the firearm to you — all in compliance with Wisconsin and federal law.

How It Works

01

Purchase Your Firearm

Buy your firearm from any online retailer or out-of-state dealer. Let them know you have a local FFL for the transfer.

02

Send Our FFL Info

Contact us and we'll provide our FFL license copy to your seller so they can ship directly to our store.

03

We Receive the Shipment

We accept the firearm, inspect the package, and notify you as soon as it arrives and is ready for pickup.

04

Complete Your Background Check

Come in to the store with a valid government-issued photo ID. We process the ATF Form 4473 and run the NICS background check.

05

Take Home Your Firearm

Once approved, pay the transfer fee and walk out with your new firearm — legally and safely.

Fees are per firearm. Handguns and long guns are the same rate. Contact us for volume or dealer pricing.
